Credit Rent Boost Reviews and What Credit Rent Boost Really Costs
Credit Rent Boost is a rent reporting service from 950 Credit, Inc. in Phoenix. It reports on-time rent to Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for $6.95 a month or $49 a year, with no setup fee, and adds utility and cell phone payments to TransUnion at no extra charge. Up to 24 months of past rent costs $59 once and expedited submission costs $49.99, so a full first year runs from $49 to $157.99. You need three verified rent payments from a linked bank account, and fees are non-refundable once setup is complete. It helps a thin file. It does nothing about late payments or collections already on your report, which is the part CreditPal explains.

Credit Rent Boost figures were read on 12 October 2026 from creditrentboost.com: the homepage, the Credit Rent Boost Facts page (marked last updated October 2026), the Fairness Guarantee and Refund Policy, the Expedited Policy and the tenant FAQ. Self, Boom, Piñata and Esusu figures come from our reviews of each, read off their own sites in September and October 2026. CreditPal is not affiliated with any of them, earns nothing if you choose one, and does not report rent.
How much does Credit Rent Boost cost?
Credit Rent Boost publishes its prices on a single Facts page, which it calls "the official summary" of its services. Ongoing rent reporting is "$6.95 a month or $49 a year. No setup fee. Cancel anytime." Paying monthly for a year comes to $83.40, so the annual plan saves $34.40 if you expect to stay at least eight months.
Two add-ons change the total. Past reporting is "$59 one time" and "adds up to 24 months of verified rent and utility history," with a second past address included. Expedited reporting is $49.99. A renter who takes the annual plan with past reporting pays $108 in the first year, and $157.99 with the expedite. From year two it is $49.
Older reviews still quote a $25 signup fee and past reporting at "$49 for 12 months or $65 for 24 months." The $49 and $65 figures do appear on the Facts page today, but in the landlord table, as the per-unit price when a landlord enrolls and pays, and the only $25 there is a landlord renewal price. None of them is what a renter pays. Credit Rent Boost also sells credit monitoring upgrades at $5.99, $9.99 and $24.99 a month; a basic monthly VantageScore 3.0 and Equifax report is included, so the upgrades are optional.
Credit Rent Boost reviews and what renters actually get
For the money you get a new rental tradeline on all three credit reports, built from on-time payments only. The Facts page says "We report only on-time payments, so a late payment is never reported." Nothing the service adds can lower your score. A missed month is simply a gap.
The extra that sets it apart from most rivals is bill reporting. "Power, gas, water, and cell phone payments are reported to TransUnion, free with rent reporting." Read the bureau carefully: those bill tradelines land on TransUnion only. A lender that pulls Equifax or Experian will see the rent account and none of the utility accounts.
Verification runs through a bank link, so your landlord does not have to take part. The exception is cash. Credit Rent Boost accepts cash rent if the landlord confirms the payments, but "Experian does not accept cash rent payments, so cash rent is reported to Equifax and TransUnion." Support is by phone and portal, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Arizona time, which is a four-hour window if something goes wrong.
Two different score claims on the same site
The homepage plan card for past reporting says "Avg Score Increase 30-100 Points." The Facts page, which the company says overrides anything else, says "Renters commonly see increases of 20 to 60 points, and sometimes more, especially people with thin or limited credit files," and adds that "no company can guarantee a specific number of points."
Take the lower, hedged version, and note who it describes: people with thin files. Neither figure names a score model. Rent tradelines count in VantageScore 3 and 4 and in FICO 9 and 10. FICO 8, the score most card and auto lenders still pull, ignores rent, and most mortgage lenders use older FICO versions still. A rent account can raise the VantageScore in your monitoring app and leave the score your lender uses where it was.
The homepage also says the service "includes spouses, roommates, and homeowners," while the Facts page lists "homes where your name is on the title" as not eligible for rent reporting. Homeowners can use the utility and phone reporting, which reaches TransUnion alone.
How long does Credit Rent Boost take to show on your credit report?
The headline is "Results In Less Than 2 Weeks." That holds for two bureaus. Credit Rent Boost submits files on the 5th and 15th of each month, and "TransUnion and Equifax typically make the account live within 1 to 3 business days of submission."
Experian is slower. Accounts completed by the 15th "are included in the next month's Experian file, which is submitted on the 5th and usually goes live during the last week of that month." Finish setup on the 16th and the Experian tradeline can be more than two months away. The $49.99 expedite moves a verified account into that Friday's submission, which speeds up TransUnion and Equifax but does not change Experian's calendar.
There is also a waiting period before any of that starts: you need "at least three verified rent payments from your connected bank account." A renter who moved in last month cannot be reported yet. If you have a loan application within 30 days, plan on the tradeline being absent from at least one of the three reports.
The refund policy in plain terms
Credit Rent Boost calls its policy a Fairness Guarantee. It is narrower than the name suggests. The governing sentence is that all fees "are non-refundable once reporting has commenced or once the customer's account setup has been completed."
Before that point there are three outcomes, all inside 30 days of enrolling. If your bank is not supported by the Plaid connection, you get a full refund. If enrollment fails "due to customer error," which the policy says includes paying rent from a roommate's or spouse's account, you get a refund "minus a $9.00 processing fee." If you cancel a $6.95 monthly subscription with nothing else bought, there is no refund and no fee. Requests go through the Message Center in the customer portal only, and anything after day 30 "will be denied, regardless of reason."
One more permanent detail: an accurate rent tradeline stays. The Facts page says it "cannot be removed simply by request; the credit bureaus do not allow it." So check that the rent is paid from an account in your own name, and that you want the tradeline, before you finish setup. Our rent reporting services comparison prices every option side by side, the Esusu rent reporting review and Piñata rent review cover services that include past rent in the base price, and Rental Kharma vs RentReporters covers the two that verify through your landlord.
Where CreditPal fits
CreditPal answers the question that comes before paying $49 to $157.99 to report rent: would a rent tradeline move the score your lender is going to pull? It connects read-only, explains in plain English which factors are costing you the most points, and lets you simulate adding a new positive account before you sign up for anything. If the real drag is a collection, late payments or high card balances, it tells you that instead, and rent reporting can wait. From $7 a month. CreditPal does not report rent, does not file disputes and lends nothing.
Straight answers
Questions people ask before they buy
How much does Credit Rent Boost cost?
Credit Rent Boost charges $6.95 a month or $49 a year for ongoing rent reporting, with no setup fee. Past reporting of up to 24 months is $59 once and expedited submission is $49.99. Utility and cell phone reporting to TransUnion is included with rent reporting.
Is Credit Rent Boost legit?
Yes. Credit Rent Boost is a service of 950 Credit, Inc., founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2016, and it states an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. It reports rent to Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Read the refund terms first, because fees are non-refundable once setup is complete.
Does Credit Rent Boost report to all three credit bureaus?
Yes for rent paid from a bank account: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Cash rent is reported to Equifax and TransUnion only, because Experian does not accept it. Utility and cell phone payments are reported to TransUnion only.
How long does Credit Rent Boost take to work?
TransUnion and Equifax usually show the account within 1 to 3 business days of a submission on the 5th or 15th of the month. Experian follows its own schedule and typically shows it in the last week of the following month. You need three verified rent payments first.
How many points does Credit Rent Boost add?
Credit Rent Boost says renters commonly see 20 to 60 points on its Facts page and 30 to 100 points on its homepage, and states that no company can guarantee a number. The gain depends on a thin file and on a score model that counts rent, which FICO 8 does not.
Does Credit Rent Boost give refunds?
Only within 30 days of enrolling and only before setup is complete or reporting has started. An unsupported bank gets a full refund, a customer error gets a refund minus a $9 processing fee, and a cancelled $6.95 monthly subscription gets no refund.
Can Credit Rent Boost fix bad credit?
No. It adds positive rent and bill payments and does not remove anything. CreditPal shows which late payments, collections or balances are costing you the most points and what to do first.
