The Credit People Reviews, The Credit People Pricing at $99, $119 or $599 Flat, and a Cheaper Alternative
The Credit People is a credit repair company in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Its own pricing page lists three plans: Standard at $99 a month, Premium at $119 a month, and Premium Flat Rate at $599 for six months. Most reviews still quote a $19 trial followed by $79 a month, and neither figure appears on its pricing page or in its FAQ. Six months of Standard costs $594, so the flat rate only saves money against Premium. Like every credit repair firm, it can challenge inaccurate items but cannot remove accurate ones. CreditPal is not credit repair: it reads your file, shows which factors cost you the most points and sequences a plan, from $7 a month.

The Credit People figures were read off thecreditpeople.com/pricing, its FAQ, its Service Features page, its Unbeatable Satisfaction Guarantee page and its Terms of Use on 28 September 2026. Sky Blue and Credit Saint figures come from our own reviews of each firm. Vendors change prices, so confirm at checkout.
How much does The Credit People cost?
The pricing page shows three options and no fine print about setup charges. Standard is "$99 month," described as "Pay as you go, satisfaction guaranteed." Premium is "$119 month" and is labeled "Most advanced." Premium Flat Rate is "$599 6 months flat rate," pitched as "Perfect if you don't like monthly fees and have a lot of work needed." The FAQ repeats the Standard price: "Get your service started today for just $99 a month for our standard plan."
Here is what each option adds up to, next to two other large firms and CreditPal. These are our own calculations from each company's published prices:
| Option | Per month | One-time fee | 4 months | 6 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Credit People Standard | $99 | None listed | $396 | $594 |
| The Credit People Premium | $119 | None listed | $476 | $714 |
| The Credit People Flat Rate | n/a | $599 up front | $599 | $599 |
| Sky Blue Credit, lowest plan | $79 | None | $316 | $474 |
| Credit Saint, lowest plan | $79.99 | $99 | $418.96 | $578.94 |
| CreditPal, month to month | $9 | None | $36 | $54 |
Two things stand out. The flat rate costs $5 more than six months of Standard, so it only saves money if you would otherwise have been on Premium, where it saves $115. And the flat rate commits you to six months up front, while the monthly plans stop the day you cancel. If your case might wrap up in three or four months, monthly Standard is the cheaper way in.
A couples discount exists. The FAQ says that if you sign up your spouse within three days of your own order, "you'll receive $20 off each of your first payments." It does not apply to the flat rate.
The $19 trial and the $79 price most reviews quote
Search The Credit People reviews and most of the top results describe a $19 setup fee or a seven-day trial for $19, followed by $79 a month, with Premium at $119. When we read the company's own pages on 28 September 2026, Standard was $99 a month and there was no $19 fee or trial anywhere on the pricing page, the FAQ or the Service Features page.
Credit repair firms do run promotions, so a signup screen may still show a different offer. Treat the $99 figure as the list price and anything lower as a promotion you should see in writing before you enter a card. If a review's math is built on $79, add $20 a month to it.
Is The Credit People legit?
Yes, in the sense that matters: it is a long-running company that publishes its prices and bills monthly for work already done, which is how federal law expects credit repair to be sold. Its Terms of Use reproduce the Credit Repair Organizations Act disclosure, including your right to "cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it." It says it employs FCRA-certified agents and disputes with all three bureaus.
Be careful with the results claims. The "50 to 100+ points estimated credit score increase" on the pricing page carries its own footnote: "Based on a select case study performed by The Credit People. Results will vary." The approval percentages for auto loans, home loans and refinancing are not explained at all. Its FAQ is more candid than its banners: "no company can promise any specific outcome simply because there are several third parties involved."
Customer reviews are mixed. Trustpilot, ConsumerAffairs and the BBB all carry a mix of praise and complaints about scores that did not move. That pattern is what you would expect from any firm in this category, and it usually comes down to the same thing: whether the items on the report were actually wrong.
How the Unbeatable Satisfaction Guarantee actually works
Several reviews describe a "60-day money-back guarantee." The company's own wording is different, and it appears in three versions. The FAQ and the guarantee page say: "You can cancel at any time and you will not be charged for that month of service." The Service Features page goes further: cancel "for any reason, any time" and "we'll even refund you for your LAST month's payment as well." For the flat rate, it promises "a full six-month satisfaction guarantee," without spelling out the refund terms.
In practice that means the monthly plans carry little risk beyond the months you have already paid for. Before choosing the flat rate, ask in writing how a refund is calculated if you stop in month two, because $599 is paid up front and the published wording does not say.
When The Credit People is worth it, and when an alternative makes more sense
Paying a firm makes sense when your report has several genuine errors, such as a debt that is not yours, a duplicate collection or a late payment you can document was on time, and you would rather pay than write the letters. You can dispute the same items yourself with each bureau at no charge, which the CROA disclosure in its own Terms also says.
It makes no sense when the negative items are accurate. A real late payment, a collection you owe or maxed-out cards will not be removed by anyone, and four months at $99 is $396 spent confirming that. Our best credit repair companies comparison lays out the other firms, the Credit Saint review explains its first work fee, and the Sky Blue Credit review covers the cheapest large firm on a four-month total. Safeport Law, which bills an $89 or $129 initial work fee six days after sign up, is covered in our Safeport Law reviews. If you want a firm that does not bill before it works, see credit repair with no upfront fee.
CreditPal answers the question you should settle first. It connects read-only, explains in plain English which factors are costing you the most points, lets you simulate a change before you make it and puts the fixes in the order that pays. From $7 a month. It does not file disputes, it is not a credit repair organization and it does not promise a score.

Questions people ask before they buy
How much does The Credit People charge per month?
The Credit People lists Standard at $99 a month and Premium at $119 a month on its pricing page, or a Premium Flat Rate of $599 for six months. We found no setup fee or first work fee on its pricing page or FAQ. Six months of Standard totals $594.
Does The Credit People have a $19 setup fee?
Many reviews say so, but its pricing page, FAQ and Service Features page did not list a $19 fee or trial when we read them on 28 September 2026. They list Standard at $99 a month. A signup screen may run a promotion, so confirm the price in writing before you pay.
Is The Credit People legit?
Yes. It is an established credit repair company that publishes its prices, bills monthly and includes the Credit Repair Organizations Act disclosure in its terms. Its 50 to 100+ point claim is based on a select case study it ran itself, and no firm can remove accurate negative items.
Can I cancel The Credit People at any time?
Yes. The company says you can cancel at any time and will not be charged for that month of service, and its Service Features page adds a refund of your last monthly payment. Federal law also gives you three business days to cancel any credit repair contract after signing.
Is the $599 flat rate worth it?
Only against Premium. Six months of Standard costs $594, so the flat rate is $5 more, while six months of Premium costs $714, so the flat rate saves $115. It also locks in six months up front, so it only suits files that clearly need the full period.
The Credit People vs Credit Saint, which is cheaper?
Over four months, The Credit People Standard costs $396 and Credit Saint's lowest plan costs $418.96 once its $99 first work fee is added. Over six months the gap closes to $594 against $578.94. Sky Blue Credit is cheaper than both, at $316 for four months with no setup fee.
How long does The Credit People take to work?
The company says most customers see credit responses within 45 to 60 days and that it works month by month until you are satisfied. Bureau investigations usually take about 30 days per round, so a file with several disputed items commonly runs three to six months.
What is the best alternative to The Credit People?
If your report has real errors, Sky Blue Credit costs less on a four-month total, or you can dispute for free directly with each bureau. If your negative items are accurate, CreditPal explains which factors cost you the most points and what to fix first, from $7 a month.
