Tomo Credit Card: TomoCredit Reviews, TomoBoost Pricing, and a Tomo Credit Alternative That Is Open Today

The Tomo credit card is not accepting new applications. That line sits in the footnote of TomoCredit's own FAQ: "Tomo is not accepting new applications at this time." Most reviews in Google still describe the no-credit-check charge card as something you can apply for. What TomoCredit sells today is a subscription to an AI credit and cash flow agent, priced at $14.99 a month for Starter, $69.99 for Premium and $129.99 for VIP, or $8.33, $33.33 and $83.33 a month billed yearly. Automatic error finding and dispute filing appear only on the VIP plan, and the pricing page states that subscription payments are non-refundable. CreditPal is a credit coach, not a card: it reads your existing file read-only, explains which factors are costing you points, simulates a change before you make it and sequences a plan, from $7 a month.

Can you still get a Tomo credit card?

Not as a new applicant. TomoCredit's FAQ still carries a full section on "The card", from how Autopay works to when statements arrive, but the asterisk on that heading leads to a footnote that reads: "Tomo is not accepting new applications at this time." The homepage still shows an "Apply Now" button and the card page still says "See if you are eligible today", which is why so many people search for the card and end up confused.

For the record, the card was a charge card rather than a credit card. The FAQ is specific: "Your Tomo card is a charge card with a 7-day automatic payment feature." You had to pay the balance in full each cycle ("Can I carry a balance? No."), an unpaid balance froze the card, and Tomo set spending power from your linked bank accounts instead of a credit score, with no deposit and no APR. If you were rejected, the FAQ says you could not reapply.

Most third-party Tomo credit card reviews were written while that card was open, so they describe a product you cannot sign up for. If what you wanted was a no-credit-check card that reports to the bureaus, the cards still taking applicants are covered in our Arro card review and our roundup of credit builder apps.

How much does TomoCredit cost now?

TomoCredit has moved from a card to a subscription it markets as an AI credit engine, sold under the TomoBoost name on its pricing page. There are three plans, each with a monthly price and a lower per-month price when billed yearly:

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlyYear on monthly billingYear billed yearlyPartner credit access
Starter$14.99$8.33 a month$179.88$99.96Up to $1,000
Premium$69.99$33.33 a month$839.88$399.96Up to $10,000
VIP$129.99$83.33 a month$1,559.88$999.96Up to $100,000

The toggle on the page says "Save 20%", but the yearly figures work out to about 44% off on Starter, 52% on Premium and 36% on VIP. That is good for anyone who stays a full year and a real risk for anyone who does not, because the disclosure under the plans says "Subscription payments are non-refundable." On VIP that is $999.96 committed on day one.

"Partner credit" is not a line Tomo gives you. The footnote on every plan says "TomoCredit is not a bank or a lender," and its FAQ describes the access as partner products, such as personal loans, cards, auto loans and insurance, matched to your profile. The $1,000 to $100,000 figures are the ceiling on offers you may be shown, not credit you receive.

Which TomoCredit plan includes credit disputes?

Only VIP. On the pricing page, "Find credit errors automatically and submit disputes" is listed under VIP's "Save" features and nowhere on Starter or Premium. Starter covers your credit score, score analysis, a borrowing power check and the TomoIQ AI assistant. Premium adds the TomoScore, real-time cash flow monitoring, budgeting and bill tracking, and partner offers.

That matters because Tomo's own comparison pages lead with disputes. Its Tomo vs Kikoff page describes an agent that "finds the errors already suppressing your score, files the disputes," next to a price line that starts at $8.33 a month billed yearly. Read together with the pricing page, the dispute feature costs $83.33 a month billed yearly or $129.99 month to month.

Before paying anyone to dispute, know that disputing an inaccurate item with Equifax, Experian or TransUnion is free and you can file it yourself. A dispute only removes what is actually wrong. We walk through the process and the letters in our guide to disputing credit report errors.

What is TomoScore, and do lenders use it?

TomoScore is Tomo's internal score. The FAQ says it "reflects your financial health and account activity" and is built from cash flow, spending, payment consistency and account activity rather than your credit history. It runs from 300 to 850 with the same band names as a FICO score, which makes it easy to mistake for one.

It is not a bureau score, and Tomo says so: TomoIQ "is not a credit bureau score." Tomo uses its own scoring to decide what it shows you and says TomoIQ powers underwriting decisions, but a mortgage lender, auto lender or card issuer outside Tomo's partner network will pull your FICO or VantageScore from the bureaus. Improving your TomoScore does not by itself change the number those lenders see.

What TomoCredit reviews say in 2026

Customer reviews on Trustpilot, the Better Business Bureau and WalletHub are mixed, and recent complaints center on the same few themes: subscriptions that were hard to cancel, charges that continued after a cancellation request, and features that users say they paid for and did not receive. Some members do report a quick setup and useful insight. We have not tested those experiences ourselves, so read them as reports, not findings.

Forbes published a critical piece on the service in February 2026 under the headline "TomoCredit Says It Will Boost Your Credit Score, But Here's Why That's Misleading." Tomo's own disclaimer is consistent with caution: it "does not guarantee an increase in credit score" and "individual results may vary."

If you do subscribe, cancel from inside your account before the renewal date, keep the confirmation, and watch your card statement for the next billing cycle. Pairing that with a real-time alert on card charges means a renewal you did not expect shows up the same day, not a month later.

When a Tomo credit alternative makes more sense

Tomo's pitch is broad: cash flow, bills, partner offers, a proprietary score and, on the top plan, disputes. If you want the bank data side, Premium is where it starts, and at $69.99 a month it is priced like a bundle.

Most people who searched for the Tomo card had a narrower problem. Either the file was thin and they wanted a card that builds history, or the score was low and they wanted to know why. For a thin file, a credit builder that is open today, like Kikoff or Self, adds a reported account for $5 to $25 a month. For a damaged file, the first step is finding out which accounts are actually costing you points.

That second job is what CreditPal does, for $7 a month. It connects read-only, explains in plain English which of your existing factors is costing you the most, lets you simulate a change before you make it, and puts the moves in the order that pays. It reads your credit profile rather than your bank account, does not file disputes, lends nothing and opens no accounts. If a genuine error turns up, it tells you so, and you file the dispute with the bureau for free.

Questions people ask before they buy

Is the Tomo credit card still available?

Not to new applicants. TomoCredit's FAQ carries the footnote "Tomo is not accepting new applications at this time" on its card section, even though its homepage and card page still show apply buttons. Existing cardholders are covered by the same FAQ. If you want a no-credit-check card that is open today, look at Arro or a credit builder such as Kikoff or Self.

How much does TomoCredit cost?

TomoCredit's pricing page lists Starter at $14.99 a month, Premium at $69.99 and VIP at $129.99. Billed yearly, they are $8.33, $33.33 and $83.33 a month, which is $99.96, $399.96 and $999.96 paid up front. The page states that subscription payments are non-refundable, so check the renewal date before you commit.

Is TomoCredit legit?

TomoCredit is a real US company based in San Francisco that operates the app and publishes its pricing, but it describes itself as a software company, not a bank or a lender. Reviews on Trustpilot, the BBB and WalletHub are mixed, with recurring complaints about cancellation and billing. Read its non-refundable terms and cancellation steps before you subscribe.

Does TomoCredit dispute errors on my credit report?

Only on the VIP plan. Its pricing page lists "Find credit errors automatically and submit disputes" under VIP at $129.99 a month or $83.33 billed yearly, and not on Starter or Premium. You can also dispute an inaccurate item directly with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for free.

Does TomoCredit do a hard credit pull?

No. Its pricing page lists "No hard credit pulls" and "No Credit Score Impact," and its FAQ says applying for the Tomo card never affected your score. You do need to link a bank account, because its AI agent works from live bank data and its FAQ says the agent "cannot operate effectively" without it.

What is TomoScore?

TomoScore is Tomo's internal score, built from cash flow, spending, payment consistency and account activity. It ranges from 300 to 850, like a FICO score, but it is not a credit bureau score and lenders outside Tomo's partner network do not use it. Your FICO and VantageScore are what most lenders pull.

Can I get a refund from TomoCredit?

Its pricing page states that "Subscription payments are non-refundable." That makes the yearly plans the riskiest choice if you are unsure, because VIP billed yearly is $999.96 up front. If you want to try it, start on monthly billing and cancel inside your account before the next charge.

What is the best Tomo credit alternative?

It depends on what you wanted from Tomo. For a card that builds history, Arro is open to new applicants and Kikoff or Self add a reported account from $5 to $25 a month. If your score is held down by accounts you already have, CreditPal explains which factors cost the most and sequences what to fix, from $7 a month.
